Atlanta Becomes The 8th Different Champion In Record Setting Fashion

The Atlanta Jesters went to battle with the defending champion Montana Grizzly Bears in Fantasy Bowl VIII. The Jesters weren't joking around in their bid for the title as they scored 175 points. That was not only the highest score ever in a Fantasy Bowl, but it was the highest score in the history of all bowl games. MVP honors for the game went to Daunte Culpepper, but it wasn't without competition. Tiki Barber, Julius Jones, and Torry Holt all put up big numbers. Montana was hurt by goose eggs out of Brees and Gates, but still had a good performance in a losing effort. They had the third highest score of the week, but just couldn't compete with Atlanta on this day. Despite Bulger putting up 46 for the Chicago Trim, the Rattlesnakes took home the Bronze this season with an excellent all around performance. Brett Favre lead a relatively young Devils team to the second highest score of the week in the Aussie Bowl. The overrated bowl was the fourth different bowl game that Denver and Boston have faced each other in, and the fourth different bowl game that Denver has beaten Boston in. Fort Wayne beat Phoenix to end a disappointing season for both team. This was the first year either team had ever missed the play-offs. Fargo won their second straight Toilet Bowl, beating Hollywood. The Stars finish last despite having league MVP Peyton Manning on their roster.
